| Allie's Christmas Style |
12/25
When you are little, the best thing about Christmas is that feeling and anticipation of something magical happening. I loved that feeling, and it rather depresses me that in growing up, we lose that feeling. It's something I really wish we never have to grow out of, but that feeling can come back to us when we have children in the family. Lucky for me, about the time I knew there wasn't a Santa, my brother was born and I was able to partake in that belief all over again. Then it didn't really seem all that long from when he stopped believing until my niece was born. Though I am sure Christmas is way more special when you are a parent, seeing my niece excited about all her presents was great too! As an adult, the magically feeling of Christmas turns into seeing people receive gifts rather then be gifted with something yourself. I definitely think my favorite part of Christmas is gifting my family with presents. I like to try to do things that will mean the most to them and to me! Going back to Allie, here she is overwhelmed with presents and excited to play with all her new things. Like a typical kid on Christmas, everything must be opened and tried out immediately. Her Christmas style is crazy cute and a good representation of how a kid can be overwhelmed with the "magic" Christmas brings.
