Day 6: Clouds

Clouds

9/27
These clouds intrigued me today.

Day 5: The Kichten Light

The Kitchen Light

9/26
The light from above the sink at my grandparents house is the "night light" in the house. I always feel a little comforted with that light on.

Day 4: Orange Glass

Orange Glass
9/25
This is my glass candy jar shaped like a pumpkin. My best friend Monica recently gave it to me as a present and it usually contains a large supply of M&M's. On this particular day I was eating some of those M&M's and wanted to use the jar as my picture of the day.

Day 3: That Old Mailbox

That Old Mailbox

9/24
I don't know how many pictures I have taken of this mailbox, but there is apparently something that always draws me to it. This was the mailbox that my grandparents used for years until someone drove into their yard last summer and knocked it down. And though it isn't standing on a post, that mailbox still sits in their yard along with the broken fence from that day. I think that the mailbox represents a piece of them to me and I think that is why I like to photograph it so much.

Day 2: Candy Pumpkin

Candy Pumpkin

9/23
I was at a high school football game, when I spotted this candy just sitting at my feet in the stands. Since I love pumpkins....this caught my attention, but it also seemed to show a sense of loneliness that I have come to understand recently.

Day 1: When One Door Closes, Another One Opens

When One Door Closes, Another One Opens

Happy 24th Birthday to me!

In recently graduating from college, moving back to San Antonio, and dealing with changing relationships with friends and family, I feel that I am at the beginning of a huge transition in my life. In hoping to deal with all of these changes and move forward, I decided to challenge myself by taking at least one picture everyday. I want to document things that inspire or capture my attention each day. So one year from now, I hope to have a collection of images that show my journey through year 24.

9/22
This first picture was taken at The Gristmill River Restaurant in Gruene, Texas. My grandparents had taken me out to lunch in celebration of my birthday. This was my view from the table and I thought it seemed fitting for the start of my pictures.
