| On the Drive Home |
11/23
I was driving back to San Antonio from Floresville with my brother and had to stop to take a picture of this beautiful sunset. Every time I drive down there, I always tell myself I want to take more pictures of this landscape. There isn't much out there but trees, sky, a few cows, and lots of empty space. I think I find it refreshing to be in a place that isn't dominated with tall buildings or the hussle & bussel of traffic, while not being too far from San Antonio and this was my moment to capture that. While driving home, I pulled over and out of the window of my car (which wasn't very steady) took a long exposure. It was at this moment I realized I had forgotten something at my Grandmothers house and needed to go back to get it so my photo session got interrupted. (Now, I don't even remember what that thing I forgot was) In frustration I put the camera away, turned around and SPED back to Floresville. One can only guess what happened..... I got pulled over just as I was about to get back to my Grandmother's house. I was super pissed and embarrassed since I had my little brother in the car with me (what a role model) Grrrrr! So the cop comes and takes my info and while I was sitting in the car waiting, out of nowhere my dad walks up! Apparently he had tried to call me because he had heard sirens (from some other accident) not to long after we had left, when I didn't answer he walked outside because he was worried. How convenient that I was there getting stopped by a cop and my father shows up? How embarrassing ...!?! So I end up with warming and not a ticket, get whatever it was I forgot at my grandmother's, and then head home to SA. What a long story for a pretty picture.
